Seems like Fall more and more as we have spent time trying to figure out if we should pick the pears. It looks like it is going to be a great year for them-both of our trees are so covered with big pears that the branches are almost touching the ground. We went out yesterday to start the "harvest" but decided to wait just another day or so. While we do usually pick them green and then let them finish ripening, it's still going to be an awful lot of pears just sitting in the garage. So maybe Wednesday???
There has been much happiness in our family as my brother-in-law has just come through an aortic valve replacement with flying colors. He is doing so well that today he will be released from the hospital-just 4 days after surgery. Yeah Terry!
I have been knitting socks lately-they are mindless and good to throw in a bag when going from ICU waiting room to ICU bedside. But I really need to get back to the sittching-Christmas is just around the corner!
